Introduction
Local Plan (LP) is an official document to interpret the policies and general proposals contained in the Structure Plan (SP) to a more detailed physical development proposal.

LP is provided for the areas identified in the Local Authority (LA). It is a detailed plan to translate the policies and general proposals contained in the SP.
LP shows the large-scaled layout of the development of the whole district equipped with a written statement to explain the policies and details about the development.
 
 
Functions of the Local Plan
  • Interpretation of SP policies;
  • As a guide to physical development of the relevant district and local planning authority through the land use proposal map
  • Provide guidelines for development control
  • Identify the key project area, and
  • Provide guidelines for implementation
