Introduction
Special area plan is a proposed plan in more detail composition compared with LP, which is more akin to the "action area plan". The plan consists of development proposals for designation of special area identified by the State Authority / Local Authority, for the purpose of:
  • Special and detailed treatment by development
  • redevelopment
  • improvement
  • conservation or management practice, or partly by one and partly by another method of  the whole or part of such special area
  • the nature of the treatment proposed
 
Function of Special Area Plan
  • For detailed guidance in the planning and development control of designated areas.
  • As a development tool for proper development and according to standard procedures.
